Default Trying to Start an Affiliate Program, Not Sure What Else Affiliates Want.

I'm trying to start an affiliate program for my Real Estate Coaching program. I'm sick of dealing with trying to generate my own traffic and I'm looking to outsource it.

What I'm curious about is what an affiliate wants/ needs out of a program. Here's what I'm offering right now.
25% commission
Next Business Day Affiliate pay through paypal.
Program managed through PayDotCom.

What I'm curious about is if I'm missing anything an experienced affiliate might want /need. I'm wanr to make this as attractive as I can without raising the commission. I spent an average of 7-10 hours working each student/ customer and I'm not willing to do that work for less money.

Any feedback is appreciated,
Thanks

Hi Privateer,

One thing many affiliate programs offer is affiliate tools. In other words, promotional materials prepared like banner ads, promotional email templates etc.

If you don;t want to up the commission then if you can set up a monthly subscription product which the affiliate gets a monthly cut of that would also interest.

Cheers,
Sam

Paydotcom and Clickbank are mostly ebooks and resources products and commission there ranges between 35%-75%. If you only offer 25%, then it might not be competitive enough.

Do you charge recurring fee? If so, do you provide recurring commission? If you charge recurring fee, you should consider increasing your commission to 50-75% if you dont pay recurring commissions to affiliate.

Also the key is to attract the right affiliate who would perform for you. So I suggest you advertise on Paydotcom for $50 / week. It should help you get the attention from affiliates - who knows - a performing affiliate might discover your niche and promote it aggressively.
